High Strength to Weight Ratio V Belt Pulley Design

For precise motion control, low inertia drives are very important. One benefit of nylon V belt pulleys is their high strength to weight ratio, which is needed in low inertia applications.

Our V belt pulleys are designed using a combination of molded glass reinforced nylon with a machined aluminum hub. Our V belt pulleys make use of the best of both nylon and aluminum. Lightweight, with low inertia and lower energy requirements than all metal pulleys. The nylon construction also contributes to quieter operation. An aluminum hub provides the pulleys with the strength to handle demanding applications.

We also offer our V belt pulleys with steel and stainless steel hubs, making them ideal in a wide range operating environments. These pulleys, and their round belt pulley counter parts, are rugged pulleys built from the ground up to provide users with an exceptional experience and long service life.

Custom Options

While an ‘off-the-shelf’ V belt pulley is appropriate for many situations, not all applications are best suited to standard options. The engineering staff at Torque Transmission will accommodate the needs of you project. Our engineers have the experience to design custom solutions to meet individual needs.
