Large Diameter Thrust Bearings

Designed to permit motion between two parts while supporting an axial load, thrust bearings  need to combine both strength and bearing life.  Most thrust bearings use all metal fabrication, for maximum strength, but all metal bearing retainer lack a number of benefits that our combination of nylon retainer and hardened carbon steel thrust bearing washers provide.

One of the advantages our Thrust Bearings gain from using a nylon retainer is lubricity. Our thrust bearings don’t require oil because they are made from Nylon 6/6, which has a naturally lubricity. Unlike traditional ball retainers  with metal on metal operation, thrust bearing retainers made from Nylon 6/6 need no lubrication,  no leaking or continuous need to lubricate.. And, because the operation isn’t metal on metal, they are quieter than all metal bearings.

Long Lasting

As we said before, all our thrust bearings, including our large diameter bearings, are manufactured from Nylon 6/6. Nylon 6/6 has a smooth, tough, and hard surface that is highly resistant to lubricants, fuels, and solvents. The hardened carbon steel thrust bearing washers used in out thrust bearings are designed for maximum bearing life.

Our Stainless Steel Thrust Bearings are ideal for highly corrosive environments like outdoor applications!
