Torque Transmission is all about helping the next generation of engineers and designers getting their careers started off on the right foot. We especially like to encourage those students from our local region to hone their skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. We’ve been involved for years in this mentorship as a business sponsor of the Madison High School Science Club.

Under the leadership of Dean Wadd, Industrial Technology instructor of STEM with PLTW, the Madison High School Science Club is gearing up for the big AWT competition at the end of April. The event is fast approaching and the team has been hard at work with their creation titled Hades - Helm of Darkness. The AWT Robobots regional competition is set to be held at Lakeland Community College on Saturday, April 25th.

For a little background information on this organization, here is an excerpt taken from AWT's website: "The Alliance for Working Together Foundation's mission is to promote the development of rewarding careers in manufacturing for the long-term success and growth of our manufacturing community. Our RoboBots Competition introduces young talent to the opportunities in local industry."

We can't wait to see how the event pans out. Until then, view the video posted below which showcases a slideshow of progress images as the Madison High School team fine tunes their robot.
